Casa Moratiel highlighted by Llàtzer Moix in ‘La Vanguardia’
On 23 May, La Vanguardia published, in both its print and digital editions, an architectural review by renowned journalist Llàtzer Moix to Casa Moratiel, a work by Josep Maria Sostres restored by Batlleiroig.
The article highlights the architectural significance of the building and emphasises its continued relevance more than seventy years after its construction. The review particularly underlines the building’s ability to preserve its essential values despite the passage of time and its various transformations.
Llàtzer Moix also stresses the importance of contemporary interventions on modern heritage as a tool for its active preservation, as well as the interest generated by Casa Moratiel as a significant example of Catalonia’s Rationalist legacy.
The article was published following the journalist’s visit to Casa Moratiel and to Batlleiroig’s offices, accompanied by Enric Batlle, as part of a tour linked to gaining a deeper understanding of the restoration project developed by the studio.
