Residencial Bonpland in Vilanova i la Geltrú
A residential building with a cutting-edge and functional design, with energy-efficient solutions committed to the environment.
The project distributes 80 dwellings in 5 blocks which share the parking in the two underground levels. The five blocks are almost identical that of the ground level but are oriented differently depending on their location to promote the best visuals and orientation to the Sun.
The main access to the complex is produced from the center point of the Av. Can Bellet. The community space is based on a central axis from which it is possible to access the halls of the various blocks by means of ramps that meet the slopes.
The blocks have a complex volumetric configuration. The project causes the appearance of open or semi-open terraces. These can be seen as perforations in the volume that are being dismounted and reducing to gain height. In this way, the impact of the built mass is visually mitigated and the scale of the building height is reduced.
The project, apart from solving the housing, has the aim of generating large terraces and outdoor areas linked to the greatest number of potential homes.
The parking is resolved with two underground levels that share 5 blocks of flats. The basement – 1 occupies the Southside. The basement – 2 occupies the South-West side and the North. The resulting two basement floors are the result of adaptation to the ground. The access is on the north side from the level lower to reduce the size of the ramp.
