The building is located between party walls and the volume’s intention is to adapt to the preexistence of the environment, in its highest part the building achieves the height of the crown of the neighboring residential building. Yet, the building’s northern side reduces its height by terracing its floors so as to adapt to the neighbor industrial building which is located at the block’s corner.

This deliberate formal volumetric adaptation provides the offices with double functionality: on the one hand, the creation of terraces outside offices, providing better lightning, and endowing offices with external garden areas. On the other hand, each floor reaches an interior height from floor to ceiling almost 4 meters high (3.93 meters), which is much higher than usual offices found in the area.

One of the main characteristics of WIP is its elegant and distinctive façade, which brings uniqueness to the building. The façade is made up of a curtain wall of metal profiles. In addition, its glasses have a special screen printing, thus creating a black and white two-tone checkerboard which provides the building with a high level of sunlight protection and a high interior lightning comfort in all its offices, without reducing good visibility towards the exterior.

The façade‘s thermal features, the selection of the best materials for its features as well as its sustainable origin, and the centralized energy generation (Districlima) allow the Building to achieve high performance in terms of sustainability, thus obtaining the LEED PLATINUM sustainable construction seal. A design with a great personality combined with the most advanced technology and energy efficiency, make WIP to be recognized as a state-of-the-art office complex.
