Gran de Sant Andreu
Pacification of the Gran de Sant Andreu street in Barcelona.
The project develops a building complex of 25 dwellings and 3 commercial premises on Gran de Sant Andreu street in Barcelona.
The block follows the alignments and depths defined in the planning, and a public space is generated at the rear that allows access from the street to the developed space in the inner courtyard of the block.
The block has three facades and a party wall with the future neighboring building. The facades facing southeast, which house the day areas, are formed by terraces that communicate directly with the living-dining area and the kitchen.
An Aerothermal system is incorporated, which translates into an energy saving of 87% compared to a typical house with energy rating F. All homes have good orientation and cross ventilation. The facade materials combine sections of black enameled brickwork with sections of facade in two shades, white and gray.
