The urban planning of the sector in which the project of 68 housing units was implanted, in the municipality of Abrera, required the division of the plot into two parcels, one for the construction of a commercial center and another specifically for the construction of the residences, and one semi-underground parking. It also affected the organization of the residences in two blocks located in parallel and adjacent to the streets Jaume I and Joan Miró.

Our organization of each one of the blocks was made with a view to optimizing the space between blocks, understanding it as an inner courtyard, and emphasizing its advantages as a place of exchange and communication between the users of the residences. For that reason we organized the floor plans so that the living areas and kitchens would mainly go towards that inner courtyard or in any case towards the main facade, leaving the bedrooms to face the streets. As we have already said, we were looking for the central courtyard to become, over time, a space of relationship and coexistence beyond what the surrounding streets could offer. To favor this situation, the facades towards the patio were organized by means of terraces that increased their use, protected from the sun, and screened the relationship between the exterior and interior of the dwelling.

The two blocks share a basement, so it is possible to have single access to the underground parking for the residences from the Travesera de Can Morral, at the lowest point so that the road access is created without the need for a ramp. Being half-buried, the parking area becomes a base in the main facade, joining the headwalls of both blocks
