República Argentina dwellings in Barcelona
Multi-family residential building between party walls in the Sant Gervasi neighbourhood.
The project takes advantage of the great unevenness of the terrain to generate spaces of great particularity and enhance the visuals over the city.
The rectangular plot of land has a rather irregular topography with a steep slope and a maximum difference in elevation of 18 meters between the highest and lowest point. The project seeks to place the first floor at the current ground level. On the upper floor, there is a terrace with a swimming pool that enhances the views of the city of Barcelona.
The project is developed on four floors. From the street, the highest floor of the house is accessed through external stairs and, through a ramp, to the subway floor -2, where the garage, the engine room, and the core of communication with the rest of the upper floors are located. The subway floor -1, consists of a single space for study. On the first floor, there are two double bedrooms, a study, two bathrooms, and a laundry room. Finally, on the first floor, there is a living room, a dining room, a kitchen, a toilet, a hall, and a terrace.
