The president of the Generalitat, Pere Aragonès, knows first-hand the Agroparc Penedès project.
Joan Batlle explains the project at the technical meeting inside the Can Mata de Abelló farmhouse, a historic and unique construction in Gelida that is part of the architectural heritage of the Penedès.

The president of the Generalitat de Catalunya, Pere Aragonès, visited the Agroparc Penedès grounds last Friday to learn about this project designed by Batlleiroig where sustainability, circularity and technology are the three backbones.

The architect responsible for the project, Joan Batlle, partner and director of R+D at Batlleiroig, explained the territorial implantation that has been carried out respecting the territory and, above all, revaluing it based on the historical and current analysis of the biophysical matrix, agriculture, connectivity and heritage.

This project will mean a paradigm shift in the food sector, prioritizing energy efficiency, minimizing the water footprint, the use of multiple renewable energy sources and 100% emission-free mobility.
