Tánger 36 office building is among the 20 finalists for the XIX Catalunya Construcció Awards in the category of Construction Management.
The offices are integrated into the industrial past of Poblenou through a facade of ceramic tones, with a large access atrium that acts as a climatic refuge for the city.
For the project management team, this project has presented a series of conceptual objectives that generate great challenges at a constructive level. Examples of this are the intention to reduce the environmental impact in the construction process of a non-standardized façade with a unique and innovative design, the construction of a large 24 m high access atrium with only two support points on the first floor and the formation of large open-plan rooms that require structures with 14 m spans. The jury of this edition has valued the resolution of these challenges, including the project among the four finalists in its category.
The aim of these awards, organized by the College of Building Engineering (CAATEEB), is to recognize the efforts of teams of professionals and entrepreneurs who, with their work, contribute to improving the quality, management, sustainability, innovation and safety of construction. During the months of September and October, the jury will evaluate the finalist nominations to determine the winners of this edition, which will be announced on October 27.
