The Style Outlets Viladecans obtains the DIGA accessibility certificate

The shopping center designed by Batlleiroig The Style Outlets Viladecans has obtained the Distinctive Indicator of the Degree of Accessibility (DIGA), which recognizes the level of accessibility excellence with several points adapted from the public road and from the car park, and that has been granted by the Shangri-La Foundation and certified by the international organisation IMQ.

The Shangri-La Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to the dissemination and promotion of accessibility. For this reason, it has created the DIGA system, which accredits in an objective and reliable way up to five levels of accessibility excellence in establishments and services, evaluating the set of physical, functional and virtual structures.

In this context, the Shangri-La Foundation has awarded our shopping center the DIGA certificate, recognizing its level of accessibility excellence for people with reduced mobility. This recognition makes The Style Outlets Viladecans the first commercial center in Spain to obtain the DIGA certificate, and the first one in Barcelona with a 5-star rating.

The Shangri-La Foundation has assessed the benefits of the accesses to the center, the adapted and tactile signage at the information point, the provision of accessible service booths and the itineraries that allow the traffic of wheelchair users throughout the commercial space, besides the breastfeeding areas, changing rooms and office designed for people with physical disabilities.

“This recognition reinforces the commitment of Neinver – the management company of the shopping center – for the certification of its portfolio to increase the life and long-term value of the assets, and confirms the center of Viladecans The Style Outlets as a benchmark in the sustainable management”, company says.
