Atlantic Park of santander, candidate for “most innovative contemporary garden” at the EUROPEAN GARDEN AWARDS 2016
Our Atlantic Santander Park project has been selected to qualify for the EUROPEAN GARDEN AWARDS 2016 in the category “Most Innovative Contemporary Park.” The awards are granted by the European Garden Heritage Network – EGHN, based in the German region of North Rhine-Westphalia.
The ceremony will be held during the 09th September in the stunning monumental site Schloss Dyck, a complex of about 1000 years old. Considered one of the most important cultural monuments of the Lower Rhine, boasts a XVIIC castle surrounded by nineteenth century gardens of great landscape value, and by a Contemporary Theme Gardens hosting all kind of events for stakeholders and experts in the landscape.
The Schloss Dyck Fundation manages heritage and cultural initiatives of the Complex, and is a reference center for the development of European Landscape. It was founded in 1999 and since then is dedicated to the conservation, restoration and use of the lands of the old castle, promoting professional exchange regional, national and international and the promotion of its many parks and gardens as a “Centre of Garden Art and Landscape Design.”
