The New Massimo Dutti Headquarters consists of a palafitte building which frees up most of its ground floor to allocate space for vehicle parking. The proposed solution generates optimal road accessibility to the building while protecting vehicles and users from weather, improving ventilation and providing thermal comfort during hot periods.
The building is 220 meters in length by 60 meters in width and three levels in height. Access to the building is set at the ground floor, and the two upper floors are dedicated entirely to workspaces. The total building height is 15 m, with the ground floor being 4 m high and the two upper workspace floors 5.5 m each.
Commitment to sustainability and creating healthy workspaces has been realized through diverse landscaped courtyards, advanced technological systems and conscientious choice of materials. This building received a LEED GOLD rating, issued by the USGBC (United States Green Building Council).
The spirit of “thinking big” has been realized through serial production, prefabrication and large-scale solutions, which in turn have accommodated a tight budget. A building designed to foster collaborative work in surroundings that are spacious, simple, friendly and optimally illuminated. Taken altogether, they serve as a background to an environment in which textile goods play the leading role.
